Dioxin or the Orange agent is a chemical which US army used in Vietnam war to defoliate in jungle. In fact, it not only destroy the enviroment but also cause many people sick and died. Many women lost the chance to be mother. Many children wasn't born during the war but they had inborn deformity.
About 5 million Vietnamese victims are living with the pain of body and mind. In 10 years(1961-1971), US army used 80 million litre orange agent. By a research, just need 80 gram in a city water providing system to kill a 7-8 million city. But now, the dioxin is still in the soil and water of Vietnam. There are 13 diseases. Worth attention is the genetically dieases.
Many scientist warned president Johnson of this poison. But until 1979-1984, an American court returned a verdict that dioxin producers had to compensate 180 million dollars for the US veteran because of its damage. In 1985, It was 250 million dollars.
Today, vietnamese victims make a claim for damage on the US companies which produced orange agent. This is a case for justice and savvy. You can help them by sign on a petition send to US president and others:
